Before the raw milk enters the buffer tank, it is cooled using a tubular heat exchanger (line-in-line). This tubular heat exchanger promotes efficient energy consumption.

The tubular exchanger cools the milk from the milking robot to the temperature (19 to 21 degrees) at which the water flows in. Then this water is heated slightly again. With the installation of an effective Boetech water system, this lukewarm water can be reused as cows’ drinking water.

The tubular heat exchanger can be connected to service water (source or tap water at 8-12 degrees) but can also be cooled using ice water (0-4 degrees).
